Biography

I was born in England, my mother Swiss from Geneva and my father English. I began drawing and painting from an early age and had successful exhibitions in England where I have my work in private collections also in Switzerland, France, Spain, Norway, Australia and Denmark.

I finished my career in architecture completing many projects from my own architectural practice throughout England and Europe.

It was only a matter of time before my passion for art convinced me that I must follow my ideology in life and pursue my art by living in Spain where the quality of light would help me fulfill the desire to paint and be free from previous restrictions.

In 2001 I had my first successful exhibition in the Casa de Cultura, San Juan, Alicante and in 2002 I was selected to exhibit in the Centenary Exhibition “El Campello Town of Artists”. As a founder member of the Association of Artists of El Campello and having had participated and organized many collective exhibitions I am preparing for my next individual exhibition.

The chance to re-live a desire that was burning within me from a very early age and the opportunity to pursue my passion to put onto canvas the views that we all see in different ways, especially the luminous beauty of the Mediterranean seascapes and landscapes where the colours are so vibrant.

The variety of topics that I must cover during my lifetime is unlimited because my inspiration is from seeing the constantly changing images of the natural beauty around us in our everyday lives.

Nací en Inglaterra, de madre Suiza, oriunda de Ginebra y de padre Ingles. Empecé a dibujar y a pintar a temprana edad, llegando a exponer en Inglaterra donde tengo obra en colecciones particulares al igual que en Suiza , Francia, España, Noruega, Australia y Dinarmarca.
Al terminar la carrera de Arquitectura ejercité la profesión en Inglaterra asi como en Europa con igual éxito.
Sólo era cuestión de tiempo para que la pasión de mi vida, que era la pintura, me convenciera a dedicarme a ella por completo, y así elegí vivir en España donde la calidad de luz podía ayudarme a cumplir ese deseo de pintar, sin las restricciones que existían previamente.

En 2001 realice en España mi primera exposición con éxito en la Casa de Cultura de San Juan, Alicante. En 2002 fui seleccionado en concurso abierto para artistas locales, exponiendo obra en “El Campello Ciudad de Artistas”. Como miembro fundador de la Asociación de Artistas Plásticos de El Campello, he organizado y participado en varias exposiciones colectivas. Estoy preparando mi próxima exposición individual.

La oportunidad de poder vivir ese deseo ardiente de mi juventud y de poder seguir la pasión de poner en un lienzo las vistas que cada uno ve e interpreta de distinta manera, especialmente la luminosa del mar Mediterráneo y los paisajes donde los colores son vibrantes, se hizo realidad.

La variedad de temas que tendré que cubrir durante mi vida no tiene limite, porque mi inspiración viene a raíz de las imágenes de la naturaleza que nos rodea y cambia constantemente nuestras vidas.
